The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 20mm f/1.8G ED Lens is a fast, ultra-wide prime lens, ideal for landscapes,cityscapes,architecture and more. Compatible with full frame FX-format DSLRs and DX-format crop sensors, it features a range of optical technologies that work to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness and superb colour reproduction.
Its internal construction consists of 13 elements in 11 groups. It includes two aspherical lens elements, two Extra-low Distortion (ED) lenses and a high performance Nano Crystal Anti-reflective Coating for superb optical clarity, high contrast and minimal chromatic aberration.
The bright f/1.8 aperture is produced using 7 rounded diaphragm blades to offer smoothly rendered out of focus effects, and excellent exposure versatility when shooting in low-light situations.
The ultra-wide 20mm fixed focal range delivers a broad 94° angle-of-view when mounted to Full-frame cameras, or 70° angle on DX-format sensors. A minimum focus distance of only 20cm offers additional compositional flexibility and encourages you to exploit the fast f/1.8 aperture for more pronounced shallow-depth of field effects.
